MacMurray Foundation & Alumni Association is registered as a non-profit with the state of Illinois's Attorney General's Office. The foundation is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a designated 501(c)(3) tax-deductible organization.

MacMurray Foundation & Alumni Association is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors with additional individuals serving on Foundation Committees. Foundation Committees are organized to support the Foundation and oversee implementation of activities related to the Foundations purposes. Although most members are alumni of MacMurray College or former members of the College's Board of Trustees, membership is not restricted to these categories.
